Toro Wheel Horse Tie Rod 1772-01 1773-01 (Shorter Length) with Replaceable Ends with Nuts

Wheel Horse Replacement Tie Rods. These replace OEM part number 1772-01 and 1773-01 old part numbers 1772 and 1773. These are for right hand side or left hand side.

You will be receiving two (2) unpainted complete tie rods as pictured = (4) ball joints (4) nuts and (2) rods assembled and ready to bolt on your tractor (after you adjust them).

These adjust from 7 1/4″ to 8″ and are replaceable on both ends.

Easy to determine your need: Measure your old tie rod from center of stud to center of stud and determine if it will fit by measurements above.

These were used on the following Models manufactured in the years of 1963-1978. Those models include 603,653,633,753,604,654,704,854,1045, Lawn Ranger, Commando V-7 and V-8, Charger V-7 and V-8, A-800, A-80, A-90, A-100, B-81, and B-111. There are other models that I am missing, all you need to do is measure old tie rods.

They are standard right hand threads on both with one end threaded on tight and adjustment on the other. The short pieces of threaded rod are bottomed out in the threads of the solid round bar and have Loctite on them so they don’t move, then when the loctite had dried the ball joints are threaded on. We all know Wheel Horses last forever, but the tie rods don’t so these were made to easily replace the ball joints in the future with easily found right hand threads.

REPLACEABLE TIE RODS…KEEP THE ROD AND JUST CHANGE THE BALL JOINTS. THAT’S RIGHT JUST CHANGE THE BALL JOINTS

Note that these will take 3/8″ x 24 right hand thread ball joints on both ends when replacing. (Really Easy to Find!)

They are 3/8″ x 24 female thread and 3/8″ x 24 male thread
